Perceptions in Painting Exhibition at Loomis Hall
Loomis Hall
“Perceptions in Painting” by Brian Major is an exhibition of his 4 very distinctive art styles. "Masterworks" is a collection of contemporary artistic oil paintings, combining symmetry and style, using interwoven geometric shapes interpreted into the element of design. "Retro Series” captures the essence from a time past - the 20's – these paintings are figurative in nature and painted in only 5 sepia tones. "Recreations of the Classical Periods” this display includes Brian’s interpretation of Jacque Louis David’s Napoleon Crossing the Alps and a recreation of “Young Girl Defending Herself against Eros”. This is a must see. “Exquisite Slate Design” series are oil paintings and murals on slate tile, including 2 geometric abstract murals and Botticelli’s “Birth of Venus” beautifully painted on silver slate tiles.

Bellevue Arts Fair
Museum Bellevue
Brian Major returns to the Bellevue Art Museum Fair, creating another visually stunning chalk mural. This being his 9th year with the fair he will once again WOW the audiences. Brian paints with chalk during this three day event. His excitement about art is apparent. Be sure to stop by, chat with him, and watch him paint, sing, dance, and interact with the crowds that gather around the front of the Museum. Brian has created such memorable works as Picasso's "Guernica", Vermeer's "Girl with the Pearl Earring" and last years Venice Carnival People, to name a few. This is one of Brian's most loved events from beginning to completion on Sunday afternoon. Please stop by to check up on his progress throughout the weekend.
